Ray Langton has been  performing and singing at folk clubs and in concerts for over 30 years!

Originally based in Sussex, Ray was on the committee of the New Sussex Folk Club at the tender age of 15 and performed regularly from then on in folk clubs along the South coast.

For several years he was a resident singer at the Merrie England Folk Club in Eastbourne before moving to Shropshire where he leads the ceildih band ‘The Cuckoo Ale Band’ and performs and sings as a solo artist.

On his latest CD ‘For Curiosity’ he is joined by Brian Bell on Bass (Whapweasel) Mike Coleman on Cittern & Guitar (Whapweasel) Hannah Edmonds on Cello (Ruth Notman Trio) Howard Mills on clarinet, Danny Hughes on Electric Guitar, Derek Harrison on piano Greg Smallbone on percussion (The Cuckoo Ale Band) and Ich Mowatt on drums, bass and guitar.

‘For Curiosity’ features original music and songs written by Ray and was recorded at Sounding Post Studios in Nottingham by Ich Mowatt. The project was managed by Mrs Casey Music.

Ray is available to perform at festivals and concerts, he is a melodeon enthusiast and is always happy to discuss or play his instrument!
