ACTIVITIES CURRENTLY OFFERED (All of the following have recently been booked by local schools)

All dance and music sessions can be targeted at a performance

 

Groups of 6 with a maximum of 30, but this does depend on the space available.

 

MORRIS DANCE WORKSHOPS

Children are taught a simple stick dance with a simple morris kit being provided for all to try on for the final performance.

LONGSWORD WORKSHOPS

Children are taught moves from the North Skelton Longsword dance which can then lead to a performance.

 

 

TRAVELER AWARENESS/ CULTURAL DIVERSITY EVENTS.

Sessions start with mini concert accompanied by computer visuals . This mini concert includes songs about travelers from all over the world accompanied by guitar, concertina, old fashioned one row melodeon and modern 3 row melodeon. All instruments are demonstrated . Children are then all given a mini melodeon and taught to play a scale and a simple tune.

Up to 30 children can be catered for-each will be given a mini melodeon to use in the session.

MINI MELODEONS

Sessions are introduced with a demonstration of how melodeons work and then followed by an opportunity for whole classes (30 pupils) to learn how to play a scale and a simple tune on mini melodeons.
